As a teaching artist Bailey has worked with kids ranging from kindergarten students to senior citizens. Bailey first found theatre in early middle school and they feel very at home sharing performance artistry with this age group. Bailey also has experience working in classrooms with a majority of students with learning disabilities.
Wolf Performing Arts Center
Here they have taught after school classes for 3rd-5th graders in theatre performance. They have also taught evening classes at Wolf for adults in Comedy Improv. Bailey has worked in Wolf's residency program as well where they go into schools and teach drama in the classroom. They have taught at Gladwyne Montessori (1st-5th grade) and Friend's Central School (K-1st grade).
Bailey has worked in two 17-19 week residency programs for Theatre Horizon. These programs take course over the majority of the school year at different schools meeting once a week and ending with a final performance for family and friends. These schools include Center School (5th-8th grade), and Ithan Elementary (3rd-5th grade)
Philadelphia Young Playwrights
Bailey has worked as a classroom actor for PYP for the past two years. They go into classrooms periodically throughout the year to serve as an actor in assisting the teaching artists and students with the plays they are working on. Bailey has also helped out with PYP workshop retreats where they assist young playwrights (middle and high school) on new works.
